FOOD

Because food is so important in life, we are going to give the children some food.

We will have a trip to the farm which we visited before to see the orchard.

Finally, whilst they are doing arts and crafts we are going to put some music on that is related to food.

This is the plan that we made for the children in this unit.


Tasting different fruits! 

To start, we will bring some different kinds of fruit to the school. 

Orange

Strawberry

At school we will cut the fruits into small pieces and then we are going to give them to the chilldren to taste.

The trip to the farm

To show to the children where food comes from we are going to have a trip to the farm that we visited previously.

There, we are going to show the children that the fruits come from the trees, the vegetables from the orchard, and the meat and fish from the animals.

Arts and crafs

We will give the childre a picture with diferents vegetables to paint it.

Materials:

- 2 Yogurt pots

- Rice

- Stickers

- Glue

We will do some maracas using yogurt pots. First of all we will take one yogurt pot and we will put some rice into it, then we will stick the other yogurt pot on the top. And then we will put different stickers onto them as decoration.

When the children play the maracas they will listen the noise.

 Whilst they are doing arts and crafts we are going to put some music on that is related to food.

ANIMALS

This week we are going to learn about animals.
First of all we are going to tell the children about some different animals. We will choose some farm animals, for example: cow, chicken, horse, dog, cat, pig, sheep, duck.

Then we are going to make a trip to a farm, because one of the teachers lives in a farm near the school.

There, we are going to show the children some of the animals.

After the trip in the school we will make a big picture where a farm appears and the different farm animals.



To finish off with, during the animals week we will ask children if they have any pets at home, and if they want to, they can bring their animals to school.

WORK ON CHRISTMAS

Christmas is coming !!

In this month we are going to make the exercises about Christmas; arts and crafts, paint and songs.

We are going to do two arts and crafts.

CHRISTMAS TREE

The first of the two will be the tree making.

The materials that we will use for this craft:

• Green cardboard
• Stickers
• Glue
• Paper tube
• Brown acryllic paint
• Scissors

First of all we are going to take the paper tube. After that we are going to paint the tube with brown colour to look like a trunk. As soon as it  gets dry we have to draw the smiling face.
Then we take the green cardboard and we have to cut it like a tree.
Stick the colour stickers on the cardboard. On the top of the tree we will put the big star sticker.
To finish the art and craft we are going to introduce the green part in the brown  tube, to make that were are going to make two cuts in the both sides on the top of the trunk.

CHRISTMAS PINECONE TREE

The materials that we will use for this craft:

• Pinecone
• A star sticker
• Brown Play-Doh
• Green and white acryllic paint

First of all we have to collect the pinecones from the garden with the children.
After cleaning the pinecones we are going to use acryllic paint to paint it green then once dried, we will then paint the edges white.
We make the base with brown Play-Doh and we put the star sticker on the top of the pinecone tree.

A DRAWING

We will give a picture of Olentzero to each child and they have to paint it.

THE PARTS OF THE BODY

In this week we are going to work on body parts.

We are going to make a poster to stick on the Wall. To make the poster we are going to draw the shapes of their  own body and then draw where are the head, shoulders, knees and toes.
